Sampling:
For each strategy, calculate mean and median, box and whiskers, and
estimate the number of yellow balls in the pit.
Strategy # 1
You pull 3000 yellow balls out of the pit, and put 3000 red balls in. The mixer quickly distributes the balls.
Then you and your classmates each pull out 1000 balls.
Here are your data points for # of red balls out of 1000 sampled:
101, 100, 117, 110, 112, 95, 130, 123 (for example, 101 out of 1000 are red, etc)
Strategy # 2
You throw in the 3000 red balls. The mixer quickly distributes the balls.
Then you and your classmates each pull out 1000 balls.
