Be sure to send me the mathematician's name, dates, image, as well as a very brief 'blurb' (about 21 words) about your mathematician. Send the info to math6a@sageschool.org
Be sure to answer the two questions at the end of the scaling exercise:
a. What is the largest carton you could make from a sheet 24” by 27”? (Hint: total the x’s lengthwise and widthwise to find out the rectangle encompassing the foldable structure.)
b. What about a sheet of paper 100 cm by 175 cm?
