Homework, due 03/02/2007:
Today's paper airplane work:
Each student should record 3-5 glide attempts, launching from the 67 1/2 inch (1.71 m or 171 cm) height measured in the Middle School hallway, on the clipboard. Mark your spot with tape, so that several people will measure at the end of an attempt.
If we have time, we can try attempts with the balsa wood model.
For tonight's homework, calculate mean, median and mode for your own results and the class results for each model paper airplane that we tested. You also need to calculate the glide ratio AND graph it on graph paper!
(Hint: By what other name do we know "glide ratio"?)
Do the two models have different glide ratios?
